How to Read Film Specs Without Getting Misled

The number that really matters is heat rejection — not just how dark the film looks. The Nami team always explains it clearly before you decide.

  • IRR — Infrared rejection (the main source of heat). The higher, the cooler. It's Nami's headline number (90–96%).
  • TSER — Total Solar Energy Rejected (unlike IRR, which measures infrared only). The higher, the more total heat is blocked (up to 69–81% by grade).
  • Layers — The nano-ceramic construction. More layers reject more heat (5–9 layers).
  • UV — Ultraviolet protection. Nami blocks 99% across every grade.
  • VLT — Visible Light Transmission. How much light passes through, i.e. how dark the film is (several levels available).
